Verse InsteadVerse Instead is licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. The points below add to it and explain how the app works.
Premium subscriptions
Reading every Bible, plan and devotional is free. Verse Instead Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription, offered yearly with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, or monthly. Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store in your currency.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel it anytime in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the period ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Verse studies
Studies, explanations and devotionals are written to help you understand Scripture. Some are generated with AI and may contain mistakes. They sit alongside the Bible text, never in place of it, and aren't a substitute for the Bible itself, your church or pastoral advice.
Bible texts and other content
Bible translations are used under their licences or are in the public domain; the sources are listed in the app under Settings › Legal › Acknowledgements. Photos are from Unsplash under the Unsplash License. Cross references are from OpenBible.info under CC BY.
